Malala- Monday Muses

In class we have a Monday Muses each Monday. For this final blog I chose the one about Malala because of her amazing story. Malala is a very brave and strong teen; for standing against others in her country that dont believe in what she thinks is right and necessary for her community. Malala fights for womens rights and education. Because she spoke up for herself and others that couldn't or wouldn't Malala got shot. They all thought that this would stop her from rebeling against them; but it didn't. When Malala recovered she fought harder and kept supporting her decision on standing up for others rights including herself. What really inspired me when watching Malala's sppech in class is when she said that if the person who shot her was right infront of her and she had a gun, she would not shoot him back. I loved this part of the speech becauses she's telling everyone that violence and revenge is never the answer. Although, that person dangered her life she believes in love and forgivness. Watching Malala give that speech showed me that she is full of hope, peace, courage and love. She believes that everyone and anyone can make change happen. Change won't just come in a matter of seconds, you have to stand and fight for it. Everyone and anyone can make a change; not with violence, but with words. To me she is basically saying revenge is NOT an option; because that is not the right path to go on. She fights for equality, education and peace for others in her country and I think it's great because she's speaking for the voiceless. Everyone, not only men deserve to have freedom, equality and education in their lives; but women too. If a 16 year old can speak up and fight for the rights for people in her country; thhen i believe others can do the same. A voice encourages change, but thousands more can make a difference.

  1. I think that you organized your response very well. You used lot's of evidence to support your theme. I felt the same way about Malala too.

  2. First of all i love that you chose Malala as your monday muses, it was very unique. I loved the way you chose that part where Malala said shes a pacifist, because if i were to write about Malala then that would also be my inspiration. I liked this because you thought exactly like me.
